Keeping Birds as pets in Bangladesh: Considerations to take beforehand

Recently, raising birds at home has become a great sensation within the community in Bangladesh. I have seen some of you giving your utmost care to provide the best home for your feathered companions while the others are just hopping onto the trend without taking any accountability for their actions. Can anyone fathom the toll the birds have to take for it? This is why, they get neglected, stressed and depressed. Therefore, don’t get a bird if you haven’t researched beforehand and educate yourself about them.
Firstly,
I have noticed that many people purchase birds with enthusiasm and fancy them, being
mesmerized by their jaw-dropping tricks and cute appearances which are further
portrayed on social media. Soon afterward, the joy fades away and they become
more of a liability than a blessing. This happens mainly because many people
fail to consider the fact that the birds will wake their owners early up in the
morning with their cacophonous screaming and may sometimes even bite
their caretakers. Moreover, people boil in rage as they are not prepared for
their birds breaking their favorite things. What’s the point of keeping a pet
if u can’t love one as one of your children?
However, to avoid this, I have seen some people keeping birds
in captivity and throwing them in some corner of a balcony in my neighborhood. Such
actions put the winged creatures at the mercy of harsh weather conditions as
they don’t have the strong resistance and endurance like human beings. Thus,
they eventually met their demise. In addition to that, confining birds in cages
can be seen as a low testament to your love for them since they require more
space to accommodate themselves enough to demonstrate their playful nature.
Secondly, many people often overlook the healthcare of their
feathered friends. To begin with, they often don’t clean up the mess created by
the birds immediately and procrastinate, leaving all of it to accumulate
over time. This is harmful to birds because they need a clean environment
to thrive in. Additionally, the water and food provided need to be changed
daily as they can contaminate the water and the food may rot, putting their
health in grave danger. Moreover, some people even allow repetitive breeding which
can be detrimental to the health of the female birds. This is
because it exerts a huge pressure on them and may affect them mentally as well.
To draw the curtains, birds are marvelous living creatures
and need a loving home. So, if you decide to have one, be committed and do your
best from the bottom of your heart to give what they deserve.
